For an assignment at a prestigious Automotive company, we are looking for an
ERS Test and Development Engineer
Role Overview
The selected candidate will join the ERS (Energy Recovery System) testing team and will be involved in the validation and development of electromechanical components for high‑performance applications, with a specific focus on electric motors.
Testing activities will be mainly carried out on test benches, within a highly technological and innovation‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional, performance and endurance testing on ERS systems
Develop and execute test plans in accordance with design specifications and company standards
Analyze test data to identify anomalies, performance trends and improvement opportunities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper integration of electrical components within the powertrain system
Verify electrical and mechanical system compatibility
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Support Design and R&D teams by providing technical feedback based on test results
Contribute to the development of next‑generation electric motors through modeling, simulations and prototyping activities
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and test reports
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards during all testing activities
Requirements
Master's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Experience in testing and validation of electrical systems, preferably in automotive or motorsport environments
Strong knowledge of:
Energy Recovery Systems (ERS)
Motor‑generator technologies
Power electronics
Proficiency in the use of test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power meters, data acquisition systems)
Knowledge of control systems, CAN communication and embedded system interfaces
Multidisciplinary approach (electrical, thermal, mechanical, control software aspects)
Strong teamwork attitude combined with autonomy and sense of responsibility
High motivation, goal orientation and strong focus on quality
Fluent English; knowledge of Italian is considered a plus
