This Role supports CFO and Sr. Controlling Manager INTL by managing FP&A activities related to EMEA and LATAM OPEX, concerning both People and non-People costs.
On People costs, the Cost Controller is the primary financial Partner to HR and strictly collaborates with the German and Italian Finance and Administration Teams to understand and analyse the drivers of the payroll cost evolution (full People cost scope, including COGS).
On non-People cost OPEX, the Resource is responsible to provide deep financial analysis on spending across EMEA and LATAM, acting as a Business Partner to the OPEX budget owners and support them in monitoring their spending and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
The Role manages the OPEX budgeting and forecasting processes, ensures the compliance of the actuals vs budget/forecast, proposes actions to drive efficiency and reports risks when they arise.
- Lead in-depth monthly analysis and provide accurate and timely reports and commentary on EMEA and LATAM OPEX performance and trend versus budget, forecast and prior year, focusing on key variation drivers.
- Liaise with OPEX budget owners (including HR for People cost) to ensure an appropriate bidirectional communication flow.
- Drive the OPEX budgeting & forecasting process by coordinating the different budget owners in terms of flow of information, meetings/calls, corrective/optimization actions to be implemented and related follow-ups.
- Liaise with both HR and Finance and Administration Teams to understand and analyse the drivers of the People cost evolution, including relevant KPIs such as HC or FTEs, fostering the information sharing across Teams.
- Support the Finance and Administration Teams to calculate sales commissions related to Sales Agents.
- Ensure harmonization of the cost centres structure across the different entities in EMEA and LATAM.
- Assist in setting up the necessary cost coding structure for effective cost management and monitoring.
- Oversee the integrity of OPEX data in ERP and EPM systems, ensuring adherence to internal controls, accounting policies (US GAAP), and local regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with APAC Finance Team if/when necessary to provide consolidated International figures for People Cost and other OPEX.
- Be the link with HQ on OPEX controlling topics and ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
- Serve as a key liaison with internal and external auditors for all OPEX-related financial matters.
Requisiti: Specific work requirements
Solid knowledge of accounting principles.
Proven expertise in financial modelling, costs management, and managing the budgeting and forecasting cycle for a multinational organization.
Proactive and solution-oriented approach to identify commercial risks and developing concrete, data-driven action plans.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and stakeholders in multiple time zones and cross-cultural settings.
Specific Work Preferences
Experience as auditor/consultant considered a plus
Specific Skills and/or Business Competencies
Independent working style, self-motivated, process and goal oriented.
Experience in a multinational environment mandatory.
Excellence driven, with sense of urgency and a strong business partnering mindset and approach.
Proficiency with advanced ERP systems (SAP) mandatory. Knowledge of BW highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex financial modelling and data manipulation.
English fluency required, German and Italian knowledge a strong plus.
Solid presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively partner with and influence OPEX budget owners across diverse cultures.
Effective team player, within and outside of the Finance Department.
Capable to respect deadlines, deliver timely and accurate financial data and work under pressure.
Consistently operate at the highest level of integrity and ethical standards.
Available to travel (on average, 2 days every three months to Italy, plus upon-need travels to other EMEA sites).
