Job Role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Italy Operations is a senior executive leadership position responsible for overseeing the full financial management and strategic finance governance of the company's manufacturing and operational activities in Italy. The role will lead budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, cost optimization, tax planning, risk management, treasury operations, and multinational financial coordination between local operations and global headquarters.
This position requires a highly experienced finance executive capable of operating within a complex multinational manufacturing environment while strengthening internal controls, financial governance systems, and enterprise-wide compliance frameworks. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting business expansion initiatives, operational scalability, and strategic financial decision-making across international operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and align financial strategies with the organization's global manufacturing and international business objectives.
- Oversee full-spectrum financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, taxation, treasury, cash flow, and foreign exchange management.
- Strengthen internal control frameworks, audit systems, financial governance standards, and enterprise risk management processes.
- Coordinate multinational financial reporting and cross-border finance activities with global headquarters.
- Ensure compliance with Italian financial regulations, corporate governance requirements, and international operational standards.
- Support overseas manufacturing expansion initiatives and operational optimization projects.
- Manage financial planning, cost analysis, profitability improvement, and strategic resource allocation.
- Lead finance teams and provide executive-level guidance across accounting, reporting, compliance, and operational finance functions.
- Collaborate with legal, operations, manufacturing, and executive leadership teams on business-critical financial matters.
- Support business transformation initiatives, investment evaluations, and strategic operational planning activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years of overseas financial management experience within multinational organizations.
- Minimum 3 years of working or living experience in Italy.
- Strong manufacturing finance background within industrial, machinery, construction equipment, or heavy industry environments.
- Experience managing multinational finance operations, international reporting structures, and cross-border compliance systems.
- Deep knowledge of budgeting, tax planning, financial reporting, treasury management, internal controls, and operational finance management.
- Familiarity with both Chinese and Italian accounting standards and multinational compliance frameworks.
- Strong strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and executive decision-making capability.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CIA, FRM, AIA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Professional working proficiency in Italian and Chinese/Mandarin is mandatory.
- Business-level English proficiency is required for international communication and multinational coordination.
- Strong integrity, professionalism, analytical thinking, and cross-cultural leadership capability.
