A Compliance Manager ensures a company function in a legal and ethical manner while meeting its business goals. They are responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company policies, and advising management on possible risks. He/she is responsible for overseeing an organization's compliance with government laws and regulations


  • Develop and implement compliance policies in line with regulatory requirements for the accounting and finance department.
  • Monitor and evaluate internal processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and legal regulations.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations affecting the retail industry.
  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance activities and present them to management.
  • Support the accounting and finance team in addressing compliance-related challenges effectively.Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program
  • Develop and review company policies

  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations
  • Assess company operations to determine compliance risk
  • Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance
  • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
  • Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
  • Evaluate business activities (e.g. investments) to assess compliance risk
  • Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed
  • Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
  • Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
  • Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
  • Communicate with employees and make sure everyone is aware of what they need to do to comply with internal and external laws and regulations
  • Experience in risk management
  • Risk assessment skills are crucial for a successful compliance officer as a large part of their work duties are identifying non compliance risk

Requisiti: Aside from the necessary degrees and certifications, aspiring Compliance Manager should have at least 7-10 years of experience in roles that directly exposed them to managing risks and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
